Haller Pass is a hidden gem that is frequently overlooked primarily because access can be tricky and may require 4x4 vehicle depending on road conditions. Additionally it requires 30 miles of driving on windy single lane forest service roads. While there are turn outs that allow people to pass each other, it can seem challenging and scary for unfamiliar drivers. You also are driving on cliffs edge at times.
If all this sounds like your kind of adventure, definitely check this spot out. If you're not the adventure driving type or you have a low clearance vehicle you may have to skip this one.
